TOOL CAPACITY

The DM-2 is a compact, high-speed machining center built with proven Haas components and sub-assemblies. It is identical in construction and specifications to the DM-1, with the addition of 8″ of X-axis travel and table length. The machine’s shop-proven 40-taper inline spindle, 18+1 tool changer, high acceleration rates, fast rapids, and impressive short tool-change times make the DM-2 an attractive high-productivity machining center.

The DM-2 allows shops to use their existing 40T tooling and enjoy the benefits of a larger spindle, and its lean-style, compact footprint makes very efficient use of valuable shop floor space.

  • More X-axis travel and longer table than the DM-1
  • Powerful 40-taper inline direct-drive spindle
  • High-productivity machining center with a compact footprint
  • Made in the USA

Drill/Mill Centre; 711 x 406 x 394 mm, 40 taper, 15 hp vector drive, 10,000 rpm (12K & 15K opt.), 61 m/min rapids, high-speed 18+1 side-mount tool changer, power-failure detection module, 1 GB program memory, 15″ colour LCD monitor, USB port, Ethernet interface, memory lock keyswitch, rigid tapping and 170 L flood-coolant system. Anchor kit highly recommended for installation.

How We Build VMCs Today

Back in the late 1980s we started building our first VMC, the VF-1.

Today, our process is finely tuned and extremely efficient for a machine that is still hand built to a great extent. Take a look at how we build the same VF that may be sitting on your shop floor not too long from now.
