The Haas ST-55SY is a short-bed, Y-axis version of our large-bore ST-55 turning center, providing the same heavy cutting ability, extreme rigidity, and high thermal stability, while taking up less floor space. The twin-chuck capability, high-torque spindle, and large through-bore make the ST-55SY ideal for machining heavy pipes and fittings, large couplers, and long rollers. The addition of Y-axis motion, C-axis interpolation, and live tooling allows milling, drilling, and tapping for increased machine capabilities.
