Haas VF-5/40XT Vertical Machining Centre
The Haas VF-5/40XT vertical machining centre has 1524 x 660 x 635 mm travels and is built utilising vibration-damping cast-iron components. Like every Haas machine, the VF-5 represents years of ongoing refinement. The VF-5/40XT, with an extra 10" (254 mm) of x-axis travel, is just one example of this.
The Haas VF-5/40XT is a rugged, medium-sized vertical machining centre that yields reliability and accuracy in a moderately sized machine. The VF-5/40XT has a 40-taper cartridge spindle driven by a 20 hp (14.9 kW) vector drive. The VF-5/40XT produces either 75 ft-lb (102 Nm) of torque at a low 1400 rpm, or 250 ft-lb (339 Nm) at 450 rpm with the optional 2-speed gearbox -- and will also run up to 7500 rpm in 1.2 seconds for finishing aluminium. The Haas control features advanced tool management, single-button features, 15" colour LCD monitor and a USB port.
