Haas VF-4APC Pallet Change Vertical
Increase productivity and run your Haas unattended by ordering your VF-4APC equipped with the Haas heavy-duty Automatic Pallet Changer (APC). The Haas APC is a side-loading pallet changer featuring two 483 x 1,016 mm steel pallets (additional pallets are available). The heavy cast-iron base of the APC is secured directly to the VMC for stability, eliminating the need for further anchoring. The APC allows non-machining tasks, such as fixture setups and part changeovers, to be performed off-line on one pallet while parts are being machined on the other pallet. With both pallets loaded, the VMC may be run unattended. This integrated system requires minimal training and runs seamlessly from the VMC’s control.
Haas Automation's VF-4APC vertical machining centre has 1,270 x 508 x 635 mm xyz travels and is built using all American-made cast-iron components. Like every Haas machine, the VF-4APC represents years of ongoing refinement. The Haas VF-4APC is a rugged, medium-sized VMC that yields full reliability and accuracy in a moderately-sized machine. The VF-4APC has a 40-taper cartridge spindle driven by a 20 hp vector Dual-Drive (Y-Delta) drive. The VF-4APC produces either 75 ft-lb of torque at a low 1,200 rpm, or 250 ft-lb at 450 rpm with the optional 2-speed gearbox - and will also run up to 7,500 rpm in 1.2 seconds for finishing aluminium.
