Haas TL-4 CNC Oil Country Lathe
The front and rear chucks of the TL-4, combined with a 10.81" (274 mm) diameter through-bore and a high-torque 55 hp spindle make this the ideal machine for oilfield work. The TL-4 easily handles heavy pipes and fittings, large couplers and long rollers. It has maximum part swings of 889 mm over the front apron and 405 mm over the cross slide, with a generous X-axis travel of 457 mm. The distance between centres is 2312 mm allowing a maximum cutting length of 2032 mm.
Like all Haas Toolroom Lathes, the TL-4 comes equipped with the Haas Intuitive Programming System that allows manual machinists to easily transition into full-CNC operation without having to know G-code. It also includes a built-in thread-repair screen for both straight and tapered threads – something no other machine has – that lets the operator easily tackle the types of jobs common in oilfield work.
Many options are available for the TL-4, including 25" three- or four-jaw manual chucks, a belt-type chip conveyor, a 15" color LCD monitor with USB port, tool posts and toolholders, spindle orientation, rigid tapping and user-definable macros.
