Haas TL-1 CNC Toolroom Lathe
Haas Toolroom Lathes are affordable, easy to use, and offer the precision control of the Haas CNC system. They are very easy to learn and operate – even without knowing G-code. And with the Haas Intuitive Programming System, manual machinists will transition quickly and easily into full CNC – and be cutting parts in minutes.
The TL-1 recently underwent a complete redesign, making it better than ever, with a new enclosure and higher overall performance. The TL-1 has a maximum capacity of 406 x 762 mm. It features a 508 mm swing over the front apron, and now has an A2-6 spindle nose that accepts either an 8" or 10" optional 3-jaw manual chuck, and has a 3.0" bore.
The updated TL spindle is powered by a 12 hp vector drive system and spins to 2000 rpm, with an option for 3000-rpm. Rapids have increased to 11.4 m/min on both X and Z axes, and an optional manual tailstock is available for additional part support. To better contain chips and coolant and protect the operator, a chip enclosure is now standard on both machines.
The TL-1 comes equipped with Haas Automation’s powerful Intuitive Programming System – a proprietary conversational operating system that makes cutting parts and creating part programs nearly effortless. Through an interactive graphical interface, the control guides the operator through the steps necessary to machine a part.
Operations that would be difficult or even impossible on a manual machine – compound angles, radii, tapers, profiles, ID and OD threading and rigid tapping – are all possible on the TL-1 – without knowledge of G-code programming.
