Haas Super Mini Mill 2 Vertical Machining Centre

Haas Automation's Super Mini Mill 2 is based on the Mini Mill 2. The Super Mini Mill takes up little shop floor space yet provides a generous work envelope of 508 x 405 x 356 mm (xyz). It comes standard with a 10,000-rpm spindle, 30.5m/min rapids, 1 MB of program memory, rigid tapping and a high-speed tool changer. It is the ideal machine for the type of drilling and tapping required by the electronics industry, or for high-speed contouring of graphite electrodes or small moulds.

For shops needing more tools, the Super Mini Mill 2 has options for either a 20-pocket carousel tool changer or a 24+1 tool side-mount.

The Mini Mill 2 handles small-parts manufacturing with the same reliability you've come to expect from all Haas CNC machines - it's ideal for finishing work and cutting aluminium, yet also provides enough low-end torque to cut steel.

The Super Mini Mill features a 15-hp vector drive 10,000-rpm spindle that accepts standard 40-taper tooling. With cutting feedrates up to 21.2m/min, 30.5m/min rapids and 2.5-second tool changes, cycle times on the Super Mini Mill are kept to a minimum. The 914 x 305mm table provides plenty of room for fixturing, rotary tables or indexing units.

It will come standard with a high-speed tool changer and 1,200-ipm rapids. A coolant system and rigid tapping are also standard. High-productivity options for the Super Mini Mill 2 include a 15,000-rpm spindle, a high-speed 24+1 tool side-mount tool changer, through-spindle coolant, 4th- and 5th-axis drives and more.
